Description
When she heard rumours of a powerful sorceress from the ancient world, and a cult dedicated to her return, Amanda, the Princess of the mystical land of Avalon, was intrigued, to say the least.
Often looked down upon by her superheroine colleagues for her inexperience and the unpredictable, often volatile nature of her magical powers, this was an opportunity for her to finally be taken seriously. If she could thwart this plot without Duster and the rest of the Night's Watch, they would surely have no choice but to give her the respect she was entitled to!
Of course, she wasn't an idiot; going after something like this on her own was beyond a stupid idea.
Duster had left her a short list of 'emergency contacts', her colleagues in the superheroic community in case she ever needed help.
White Owl and Cracovia were too stubborn, they'd probably end up trying to boss her around...and that was simply unacceptable.
Ubergirl, though? She was someone Aura thought she could work with. Or, more precisely, someone she thought she could convince to do whatever she was told.
And, to be fair to her, she was right. Their partnership was an effective one, with Ubergirl's simple, brute strength compensating for Aura's reluctance to stoop to the level of petty pugilism employed by so many of the dimwits she often found herself in the company of these days. Svetlana Kistrun ended up developing a little bit of a crush on the mystical heroine, and with her own complete ignorance on matters of the arcane, she showed Aura the proper levels of deference and obedience that the princess felt she deserved.
Ubergirl was happy to do as she was told, and Aura was satisfied with her servitude.
Over the course of their time together, the pair even became friends...
Of course, things didn't quite work out as planned. Their interference ultimately resulted in the sorceress's prison being breached, and her power being unleashed upon the world once more. Telepathically subduing her rescuers in an instant, and wiping their minds of her very existence, Ubergirl and Aura were powerless to stop her.
When they woke, the feelings of affection they had developed over the course of their adventure remained, even in the absence of their memories; to this day, they remain on pleasant terms, even if neither of them can quite explain why they are so fond of the other.

Firstly, the princess Amanda Morgan / Aura is an original character of AmandaMorganAura
Svetta Kistrun / Ubergirl is my own original character!
This comic was rendered by Dangerguy01 , and he's just frigging awesome. Literally all I contributed here was the text, caption, and final comic-page edit thingie. I can take absolutely no credit for the images themselves; it's DG you need to be showering in praise.
