The Superwomen's March by TheStonemiester1 The Superwomen's March by TheStonemiester1
January 21st, 2017:
- thousands of women hit the streets of Washington DC to march in support of the new President, Ronald Rump. In spite of growing rumours of discontent, the 'Women's March for Rump' is confirmed to have the biggest turnout to any political event EVER.
Numerous sources indicate that this march was originally planned to be a protest, but each and every single one of the women in attendance adamantly discredits these rumours as 'fake news; fiction conjured by the stupid liberal media to smear the greatest man this country has ever known' (a direct quote taken from the new Ultra Woman, who was among several prominent superheroines adding their voices to the chorus of mindless agreement with Mr. Rump)

(from left to right)
Amazon Arrow (Movie variant outfit!) is an OC of amazonarrow
Ultra Woman and Lady Liberty are OCs of ladytania
Miss American Dream is my own OC! (rocking her stylish new headwear with its cute little ears! ^.^ )
Commander-ette is an OC of AlexisFairchild (in my personal favourite of the outfits submitted in I think a contest a while ago?)
Artwork provided by zorro-venom

The second in a series of political parody comics set in the Onpyhverse.
Because, seriously, politics are so laughably ridiculous by now, there's no way there isn't some form of mind control involved.

Top: and there came a day that the worlds most powerful superheroines failed and fell into the hands of corruption.  Now it appears that I must right the wrongs that have lead to this. Who will stand with the Psyklown to stop this hypnotized parade!

"Will Hump for Rump"? Oh...my. If only the Donald got this type or turnout for his inauguration, the news may have been more...kind? Heh (and yeah, I am joking). Fun image, Svetta....and yet, given the personality of the inspiration for "The Ronald" above...it's also provocative and a bit disturbing. But I sense that may have been your point.

Not exactly the best way to introduce Commander-ette to the Onphyverse, but definitely funny :P

And yes, it was a contest for when I hit 100 dA watchers where people designed the outfit that Commander-ette wore back when young Alexis Fairchild was fighting crime as a sidekick in Paragon City (and that was the winning outfit in the contest).

Yesterday, after Trump melted down during his first solo press conference, he released a survey to supporters on his mailing list called the "Mainstream Media Accountability Survey" which featured questions like "Do you believe that the mainstream media does not do their due diligrence fact-checking before publishing stories on the Trump administration?" and "Were you aware that a poll was released revealing that a majority of Americans actually supported President Trump's temporary restriction executive order?" It doesn't take a political science major to realize how fucking creepy it is for ANY world leader to realease a survey that doubles as a passive aggressive attack on the media which, after the Republican chairman of the Congressional Oversight Committee declined to investigate the contact Trump's campaign had with Russia while the DNC was being hacked, it's becoming clearer every day that the media is the only check left in place to protect American sovereignty from an actual dictator.

But! Where this story is relevant to yours is that psychologists analyzed the poll and found that the language was aimed specifically toward rallying Trump's base. Referring to his administration as "our movement" makes Trump supporters feel like they're a part of something special, and it only forces them to cling harder to the hateful ideals that led to this presidency. Does that sound like mind control? It kind of does to me.

Anyway, I'm digging this series so far, even though it kind of hurts my soul. Still, interesting to find political satire in this place!

I'm going to be so happy when all of this pointless rioting is over and done with. (And yes I'm calling it rioting because too much of it has been violent and I refuse to acknowledge it as a political protest)

I did say too much and not all right? Much of it is valid but enough of it isn't so it makes me think people are out there just to be out there and angry.

Eh. There will ALWAYS be people just looking for an excuse to go out and trash stuff and fight people. They're such an insignificant number, though, and the overwhelming majority (in this situation especially!) are trying to make a point about something they genuinely believe.

Wait... Ooh, are you on the front lines in Mexico? How's the construction project going? I bet that's more Lego than anyone's ever seen!
I wasn't aware supervillains gave their henchmen Internet privileges! What's the WiFi like at the Orange Devil's lair?

Yeah, I understand that but there's a psyc problem called 'mob mentality'. If there's even one person there to cause a spark it can easily be enough to send everyone over the edge and that's when problems occur. Violence doesn't solve the issue, it just makes people afraid and devalues the point you were originally trying to make (assuming there even was one to begin with.) we see it a number of times in fact; one of the most significant examples I can come up with in fact gave birth to a country that we all know today; the Boston massacre. One shoot set off a powder keg that created a massive rebellion resulting in the end of many lives when in truth it could have all been avoided.

Oh yeah, the lego wall is huge! You've seen the 'lego movie' right? Everything you've seen there is put to shame in comparison to what we're building now! :evillaugh:
To be fair he tried cutting off my wifi on my computer, he didn't think about my phone though! :D

No I don't mind the teasing, in fact I encourage political debates and love satire. Have you seen the most recent 'arrow' episode? Were it's all about gun rights? I hate that righteous, left wing bull headed asshole who goes by the name of 'terrific' (ugh...) but he says one thing that I haven't heard more true in my entire life. The problem with politics today is that it almost seems politically incorrect to talk about anything you view as politically different. You are shunned and ridiculed for speaking out of term with the majority and called a variety of things that in reality are untrue. I believe in pro life, not because of my religion or that a woman's body isn't sacred, but that 'insignificant cluster of cells' will not always be something lifeless and will eventually grow into a beautiful human being. People claim pro choice when the truth of the matter is that they are choosing to be selfish and steal away the choice of another. Does that make me a bible thumping neo natzie?

You say that, but there are just as many examples of civil disobedience being a very good thing: the Berlin Wall, for example.

EVERYTHING IS MOST DEFINITELY NOT AWESOME.

Ah! UK networks, I'm a couple of episodes behind! Spoiler warnings!

I... Am very pro choice.
You say it like it's a very easy decision for everyone, like getting your hair cut or something, when in reality most women DO inevitably bond with this thing that lives inside them for a while and has the potential to become a baby. For most people, it's the most heartbreaking decision they'll ever make. (again, there are always exceptions)
But if you know it's going to be born dead, or with a disability so severe its life wouldn't be worth living, or if you just honestly don't believe you'd be able to take care of it and give it the quality of life it deserves, then it's better to deal with it before it is alive and capable of feeling pain.

The only violence I recall from that event was from the soviet side of the wall and also many would argue that the Boston massacre was a good thing despite the casualties as well. My point is that whatever point is trying to be made is usually disregarded or ends with people being killed when they resort to violence.
To use your Berlin Wall example again the soviet side used high powered hoses to prevent people from climbing it, forcing them off and hurt a great deal of people. Then if by some miracle you do make it to the other side BUT was caught there's a good chance that you would have been inprisoned or even executed. So tell me; which side was more violent and which side lost?

XD

Actually I have a website you can go to so you can see the shows shortly after they air. So if you don't mind sorting through the pop up ads (none of which has given me a virus yet) or don't feel like it's morally compromising, I can give you the address. You could even tease your Brit friends who also watched the show with spoilers ;)

Completely not the point I was trying to make. My point is that my view point isn't wrong but when I say it it makes me seem like an asshole who disrespects women (what I do on this site doesn't necessarily help my case in that regard XP). I completely understand the personal conflict that comes with doing this; the child will kill you during childbirth, it's a product of rape, it'll be deformed, all good reasons to want an abortion and I agree with the women who decide to get an abortion in this case. HOWEVER if you, a 17 year old girl for example, feel like you aren't ready to have a child and instead of giving it up for adoption you decide to end the process, to me that's not alright.
So I ask again for the point of my original argument; does this viewpoint make me a bible thumping bull headed asshole? In today's society you can't talk about things like this without people assuming this about you and it silences so many voices and denies so many viewpoints and as a result it prevents so many solutions and compromises to be found between the two sides. For all I know there could even be a third side that everyone would agree upon without any hesitation. Hell, I side with a political party called the "libitarian party" which fights for as limited government control as possible and has arguments that a majority of people from both republican and democrat sides would agree with. However, once again, they are denied a viewpoint because their different. 'They support limited gun control? They're redneck hillbillies!' 'They promote the legalization of weed? They're antigovernment hippies!' A valid viewpoint denied once again because its politically incorrect to talk about politics...

It's funny because polls have shown that, of everyone who was eligible to vote, only about 60% did. And of those, only 52-ish% voted to leave. And, of those, only 70-ish% didn't immediately regret that choice. And of those, only about 30% wanted a HARD Brexit.
We're all being screwed by a government pandering to SUCH a tiny chunk of the population.

Although, it has given us some comedy gold too.

"We never promised an extra £300,000,000 a week for the NHS!" he says, while stood directly in front of a big red bus with "an extra £300-million a week for the NHS" written across it.

I don't know which interview the next morning made me angrier
-Farage - "A victory for normal, decent people... Without a shot being fired". Erm, remember Jo Cox, Nige She didn't count did she?
-Cameron - Legging it as soon as the going got tough
-Johnson - Looking like Gove just ran over his dog, clearly never expected nor wanted to win
-May - Who said nothing, just like throughout the whole shambolic process as she clearly had her own agenda throughout...

Yes I do, Farage.
I despair, but I'm still proud to be abnormal and indecent

Huuuuuuh? Good sir, I'm sure I don't know what the devil you're referring to. Ronald Rump is a work of fiction, darling, no billionaire would actually be angry enough to have a rant on Twitter at three in the morning because a news reporter said something bad (and factually correct) about him... Gawd.
Nope. Mr. Rump definitely doesn't bear any strong resemblance to any real people, living or dead.
